Apprentice Precap: Project Putt Putt
A Precap for the Preview of the March 1 Episode of The Apprentice
(circus music playing)
ANNOUNCER: Next Thursday on The Apprentice, an innocent task ... becomes a kid's worst nightmare.
(Erin is shown waving at a child)
(a slightly confused-looking child has just been handed a little golf club)
(boom sound effect)
(a slightly alarmed looking child is shown)
(screechy violin music as Chris is shown in a rainbow clown wig and then I think John is briefly shown in a rainbow wig, a clown outfit, and a red clown nose, sitting in an office, Audrey is shown in a sort of raggedy clown wig and hat looking unhappy. Chris, still in his clown ensemble, loudly orders a child to "gimme a high five!" and the child looks apropriately petrified, his eyes wide open in terror. He is frozen in place, only a bit of his hair fluttering in the wind. No wonder so many children are scared of clowns; are they all like Chris?)
ANNOUNCER: And in the boardroom, a secret comes out ...
(Trump, in a fetching striped tie, enters the boardroom)
CAROLYN, nonchalantly: I saw it
TRUMP: So I guess you're addicted.
ANNOUNCER: Oh, and one more thing.
(ONE MORE THING on screen, against a rather dramatic nighttime cityscape)
AUDREY, I think on the balcony, to, I'm pretty sure Chris, raising her arm, trying to cut him off: Shut up!
ANNOUNCER: MELTDOWN
(MELTDOWN appears on screen)
AUDREY: Everything was taken from me.
(an edit here, Audery is now more upset, starting to tear up)
AUDREY: And I had nothing ... nothing at all to my name.
(in the last two clips there are citylights behind her so she is probably on the balcony. In the first clip a lamp is visible behind her, but she's probably still on the balcony)
What is Audrey talking about?
On the February 24 episode, she said, "I was raised to take care of myself from the age of thirteen years old."
Her short NBC bio tells us:
If the "meltdown" consists of some crying and maybe even a bit of yelling at Chris, maybe Audrey is entitled to that, and maybe the NBC promotional people are scumbags for exploiting it so gleefully. Maybe.

On the February 24 episode, she said, "I was raised to take care of myself from the age of thirteen years old."
Her short NBC bio tells us:
Audrey, 22, grew up in West Valley, Utah with her brother and sister. Audrey never had the chance to continue her education after high school but has become a very successful real estate agent, one of the youngest agents ever to be certified in Utah. She is currently working on her broker's license while launching a non-profit organization for high school students to help them pursue their dream careers.
If the "meltdown" consists of some crying and maybe even a bit of yelling at Chris, maybe Audrey is entitled to that, and maybe the NBC promotional people are scumbags for exploiting it so gleefully. Maybe.
